Email · Subject includedSubject: Following up on my Senior Product Engineer application — Maya Lin

Hi Jordan, I applied for the Senior Product Engineer role on October 8 and wanted to share two details from my work at Veloce Pay1 that fit what your team is building. Over the past two years I cut checkout latency by 38% across 14M monthly transactions2 and led our migration to TypeScript and GraphQL3. If helpful, I would be glad to share a short walkthrough of how we rolled that out. Best, Maya Lin

One role. Four moments to write.

Whether you are sending a short LinkedIn connection request before applying or thanking an interviewer the next morning, each moment shapes the channel, length, and subject line automatically.

  • LinkedIn · Live character count

    01 · Connect (LinkedIn note)

Before or right after you apply. Draft with a live counter, then check the limit for your LinkedIn account: 200 characters for Basic or 300 for Premium.

  • Email · Subject line + mailto

02 · Reach out (First email)

A first email about the role. Pairs a clear subject line with two concrete proof points from your resume.

  • Email · Uses your applied date

03 · Follow up (After applying)

Once the application has landed. References the date you applied on your tracker and suggests a follow-up after five days.

  • Email · Includes what you discussed

    04 · Say thanks (Post-interview)

After an interview. Mentions the specific topic you talked about and keeps the note warm without repeating your whole resume.

How it works

Three voices. Grounded in your real work.

Pick up to two skills and two lines from your resume. Switch between Proof-led, Concise, and Warm—if you have already edited the text by hand, Guul previews the new voice before replacing a single word.

  1. Pick the role and the momentStart from a tracked application, a saved job, or type the role and company. Choose Connect, Reach out, Follow up, or Say thanks.
  2. Choose the resume facts to mentionSelect up to two skills and two lines from your resume, then switch between Proof-led, Concise, and Warm voices.
  3. Copy, send, and set a reminderCopy the LinkedIn note or open the draft in your email client, then log the sent message and a 5-, 7-, or 14-day reminder on your tracker.

Proof-led

Leads with measurable outcomes and specific lines from your recent roles.

Concise

Gets straight to the role, one proof point, and the ask in under 100 words.

Warm

Conversational and personable while keeping every claim tied to your resume.

Sent the message? Remember it on your tracker.

Click "I sent this" after copying your note or opening your email app. Guul logs a dated note on that job in your Application Tracker and sets a 5-, 7-, or 14-day follow-up reminder.

Questions, answered.

What outreach moments does Guul write for?
Guul covers four moments: a LinkedIn connection request before or right after applying, a first cold email about the role, a follow-up email that references the date you applied, and a post-interview thank-you note that mentions what you talked about.
How do I keep my note within LinkedIn’s character limit?
LinkedIn allows 200 characters for Basic accounts and 300 for Premium. Guul shows a live count against 300 characters and keeps your selected resume wording intact, even when the draft is too long. Shorten the note yourself or choose to leave out a resume line. For Basic accounts, bring the count to 200 or less before copying.
Where do the facts in my message come from?
Every draft is built from the resume you select in your account. You choose up to two skills and two resume lines to include, and the editor highlights those exact phrases inside your message so you can verify every claim.
Will switching voices overwrite my manual edits?
Changing voice shows a preview of the replacement before changing your manual edits. Switching moments opens that moment’s own draft. Changing selected resume facts keeps your manual edits; those facts do not automatically rewrite text you have edited.
Is Recruiter Outreach free?
Yes. Recruiter Outreach is included with a free Guul account. You can draft messages across all four moments, switch voices, copy your note or open it in your email app, and save follow-up reminders to your Application Tracker at no cost.
