This guide is written in English for candidates applying to jobs in Poland. International technology, shared-services and finance centers in Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław and Gdańsk frequently recruit in English, while many Polish employers require a Polish CV (życiorys / CV) and cover letter (list motywacyjny). Always check the language and portal instructions in the job advertisement.
Build a checklist from the employer’s job advert
Polish job postings often include specific instructions about recruitment data-processing consent (klauzula RODO) when you submit additional information or want to be considered for future recruitment processes. Read the employer’s form carefully before exporting your CV.
| Decision | What to verify in the vacancy | Your preparation step |
|---|---|---|
| Language | Polish vs. English CV instruction | Draft your CV and any requested letter in the specified language |
| RODO clause | Whether the advert provides a specific consent sentence | Copy the employer’s requested clause or complete the portal’s consent checkboxes |
| Page length | Concise 1-to-2 page A4 layout | Place recent experience, technical skills and measurable outcomes first |
| Credentials | University degrees, licences and language certificates | Keep original credential titles and institution names intact |
| File upload | PDF vs. Word upload requirements | Export on A4 and inspect the pre-filled portal fields |
Format an A4 CV with accurate dates and credentials
Use an A4 layout with reverse-chronological work experience and education sections, consistent MM.yyyy or month-year dates, and clear bullet points describing your contributions and results.
Keep official degree titles (such as licencjat, inżynier, magister or international equivalents) accurate, and state language proficiency levels honestly using CEFR (B2, C1, C2). Do not use automated rewriting to invent responsibilities or inflate language fluency.
You can inspect the chronological classic template for a structured A4 layout and read our Polish-language resume builder options guide when comparing localized tools.

Everything is asking for attention.
Closely packed headings and text leave fewer visual signposts. Try the other treatment.
Verify your recruitment clause and exported PDF before sending
Do not include national identification numbers (PESEL) or sensitive personal documents on your CV. If you include an optional headshot or a footer recruitment consent clause, make sure it does not crowd the page margin or split across an awkward page break.
Before submitting, open your exported file and run it through the PDF text check to inspect the extracted text in your browser, then confirm every field in the employer’s application portal yourself.
