Dear [Hiring manager's name],
I write three to four long-form articles a week for Fernbrook Wellness Co.'s blog, and the ones that perform best are never the ones I was most excited to write, they're the ones that answer the question a reader actually typed into a search bar. I'm applying for the Content Writer role because I want to keep chasing that same gap between what's interesting to write and what's useful to read.
A guide I wrote on a common supplement interaction question now ranks in the top three results for its target search term and brings in about 9,000 monthly visits on its own, more traffic than our previous five posts on the topic combined. Since I joined, our blog's average time on page has grown from 1 minute 40 seconds to 3 minutes 5 seconds.
I research every claim against primary sources before I write a sentence, structure articles around the exact questions readers search for, and revise against our editor's notes without needing a second round more than occasionally. I write in WordPress and pull search data directly from Google Search Console before starting a new piece.
I'd welcome the chance to bring that same research habit to [Company name]'s content. I'm available for an interview at your convenience and can share a full portfolio.
Thank you,
Sage Robinson
