Dear [Hiring manager's name],
My mornings at Wrenfield Advertising start with the trafficking sheet: which of our eighteen concurrent print and digital insertion orders are due out that day, and which proofs are still waiting on a client signature. I'm applying for the Advertising Assistant opening because I want that same kind of daily-detail role at an agency with a bigger, more varied client list.
When I noticed proof approvals were the most common cause of missed deadlines, I built a shared tracker that flags any proof sitting untouched for more than 24 hours; missed deadlines across our media calendar dropped by roughly a third in the first quarter I ran it. I now onboard every new intern on the trafficking process myself.
I keep insertion orders, contracts and billing codes organized across Excel and our agency's traffic system, and I proofread every piece of copy against brand guidelines before it goes to a client. I'm quick in Canva and Adobe Express for internal mockups when the design team is stretched thin, and I've never let a rush job skip the proofing step.
I'd welcome the chance to bring that same attention to deadlines to [Agency name]. I'm available to start within two weeks and happy to walk through my tracker in an interview.
Thank you,
Sage Young
