Numbers tell your story. This template puts quota attainment, revenue growth, and deal metrics front-and-center with a visual hierarchy designed for sales leaders who evaluate candidates by their track record.
In sales, your resume is your pitch deck. Hiring managers look for one thing first: do you consistently hit quota? This template is structured to lead with your numbers — quota attainment percentages, revenue generated, deal sizes, and client acquisition metrics — before diving into the roles and companies where you earned them.
Lead with quota attainment as a percentage (e.g., '127% of quota in FY2025'). Then include: total revenue generated or managed, average deal size, number of deals closed, win rate, sales cycle length, pipeline generated, and year-over-year growth. If you're in SaaS, include ARR, MRR, expansion revenue, and net retention metrics.
Context matters. If you missed quota during a company restructuring, market downturn, or territory change, say so: 'Achieved 85% of quota during Q3-Q4 territory realignment; returned to 115% in following quarter.' You can also omit individual quarter numbers and use annual or career averages. Never fabricate numbers.
Never include compensation details on your resume. Quota attainment percentages and total revenue numbers demonstrate your performance without revealing your comp package. Save compensation discussions for the interview process when you have leverage from a demonstrated track record.
