Start my LinkedIn import

From your profile to an application

  1. Step 1

Choose a public URL or PDF

Use your public LinkedIn profile URL, or a PDF of your profile you have already saved. Sign in to Guul and choose the matching option in the LinkedIn importer.

  2. Step 2

    Review the imported draft

Compare the extracted content with the source. Correct names, dates, and section placement. Add missing details yourself and remove material that does not help this application.

  3. Step 3

    Preview, check, and download

Choose a design and review the complete document. Use the free basic ATS checks as feedback. Editing and preview are free; downloading the finished resume requires a purchase.

A profile is not a resume

A public profile can describe a broad career. For a resume, select the experience that matters to this application. Keep employers, qualifications, and dates accurate while shortening unrelated material. Importing gives you a starting draft; it does not automatically tailor the content, invent achievements, or sync future profile changes. You decide what the finished document says.

Import missing sections? See the Rescue troubleshooting guide for paste fallbacks: LinkedIn import incomplete.

Keep your Indian job applications consistent

Compare the imported resume with your LinkedIn and job-board profiles. Keep employer names, role dates and qualification status accurate across them. A targeted resume can select different achievements without changing the underlying history. Enter detailed application fields where the employer requests them; the public profile and the resume do not need to carry every private hiring detail.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need before importing?

Sign in to a free Guul account and have your public LinkedIn profile URL or a PDF of your profile ready. The importer can only work with the content available in the source you provide.

What if my LinkedIn URL cannot be imported?

A URL import depends on public access and can fail. Try uploading a PDF of your profile instead. If that draft is incomplete, review the original source and add missing details in the editor. Do not assume an empty section means you have no relevant experience.

What should I review after importing?

Compare names, job titles, employers, dates, education, and skills with your profile. Fix missing or misplaced text and select the material relevant to the job. An import is a draft; it does not verify your career facts or keep itself synchronized with LinkedIn.

Is the LinkedIn resume builder free?

You can import, edit, and preview with a free Guul account. Finished resume downloads require a purchase. All templates are available for editing; see pricing for current download options and AI allowances.

Will the result pass ATS screening?

No template or checker can guarantee selection. Guul’s free basic ATS checks help you review parsing and structure. Follow the employer’s file instructions and check any application fields filled from your upload before submitting.
