Greenhouse Resume Compatibility Checker

Use Guul’s modeled Greenhouse-family preview to inspect your resume before applying. It does not test the employer’s live system or predict a hiring decision.

Common Greenhouse Compatibility Issues

Review these points before applying. Some concern your file; others require checking the employer’s form or instructions and cannot be detected by Guul.

Complex layout affects captured fields

Greenhouse lists columns, complex tables and contact information in headers, footers or text boxes among possible parsing problems.

Fix: Use a readable layout and review imported fields where the application exposes them.

Application answers trigger a configured rule

Greenhouse supports employer-configured auto-reject rules for certain question answers. A cleaner file does not change eligibility facts.

Fix: Answer every required question accurately and read the stated qualifications.

The attached file and populated fields differ

Greenhouse can keep the original resume attached even if parsing fails, so an attachment alone does not prove the profile is complete.

Fix: Correct visible field errors before submitting; use the employer’s contact process if you cannot correct important information.

Greenhouse Optimization Tips

  1. 1

Follow the employer’s accepted file types and limits

  2. 2

Describe real qualifications with relevant evidence

  3. 3

Review and correct any imported fields you can edit

  4. 4

Treat Guul’s model as preparation feedback

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a live Greenhouse test?

Guul reads your file with its own parser and modeled rules. It does not connect to the employer’s recruiting system or know its settings. Use the result to prepare, then review the actual application.

What access does the checker provide?

You get 3 free checks a day, with or without an account. A check is one scan or one job match. A guest check provides basic feedback and a modeled field preview. Signing in and paid features have separate access rules. Check the current options shown in the checker; payments and scores do not determine whether an employer invites you to interview.

Does Greenhouse fill candidate fields from a resume?

Yes. Greenhouse describes parsing an uploaded resume into a candidate profile. If parsing fails, the file can remain attached while information needs manual entry.

Can Greenhouse automatically reject an application?

Employers can configure auto-reject rules based on answers to supported application questions. That is different from failing an external resume checker score.

Are PDF and DOCX always parsed correctly?

No format guarantees correct extraction. Greenhouse documents problems with some columns, tables and contact information in headers, footers or text boxes, as well as a 2.5 MB parsing limit. Follow the actual portal’s upload rules.
