Workday Resume Checker

Use Guul’s modeled Workday-family preview to inspect your resume before applying. It does not test the employer’s live system or predict a hiring decision.

Common Workday Compatibility Issues

Review these points before applying. Some concern your file; others require checking the employer’s form or instructions and cannot be detected by Guul.

Some fields are not populated by this feature

Workday documents that resume parsing does not populate Skills or Languages, and hidden application fields are not populated.

Fix: Enter the information the application requests and review the fields that were imported.

Imported information needs correction

Workday says parsing results vary with formatting and word order. Guul’s modeled preview is not proof of the employer’s result.

Fix: Review the actual names, titles, employers, dates and education fields before submitting.

The form does not offer resume parsing

Workday allows employers to hide resume parsing from external candidates. A form that asks you to enter details manually is not proof that your file is broken.

Fix: Follow the options on that application and contact the employer if the form is unclear.

Workday resume autofill wrong? Check these fields

This fictional example illustrates misplaced fields. It is not output from Workday or a measured Guul scan. Employers configure their application forms differently.

  1. Compare each autofilled employer, title and date with your original resume.
  2. Correct wrong or missing fields in the application form before submitting.
  3. Keep contact details in ordinary body text, with clear separators between values.
  4. If the form still mixes fields, simplify the layout and try a file type the employer accepts.
  5. Review the new autofill again. A modeled preview cannot verify the employer’s actual result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a live Workday test?

Guul reads your file with its own parser and modeled rules. It does not connect to the employer’s recruiting system or know its settings. Use the result to prepare, then review the actual application.

What access does the checker provide?

You get 3 free checks a day, with or without an account. A check is one scan or one job match. A guest check provides basic feedback and a modeled field preview. Signing in and paid features have separate access rules. Check the current options shown in the checker; payments and scores do not determine whether an employer invites you to interview.

Why are Skills or Languages not filled from my resume?

Workday’s resume-parsing documentation says this feature does not populate Skills or Languages. Enter accurate information where the application asks for it; an empty section does not necessarily mean the resume failed.

Should I use PDF or Word?

Follow the accepted file types on the actual application. Workday recommends avoiding image-based formatting for best parsing results. Check the fields it populated rather than assuming a file extension guarantees accuracy.
