Dear [Hiring manager's name],
I've spent the past two seasons originating lead roles for a mid-size repertory company, most recently carrying a ten-week run to a 75% sellout at a 200-seat house. Before that I toured an eight-city production that played houses from 150 to 800 seats over twelve weeks. I'm reaching out about joining [Theater company name] because your seasons mix new work with revivals, and that range is exactly where I do my best work.
This past pilot season I booked three national commercials, converting three of fourteen auditions, and went on for six performances as a principal understudy with less than twenty-four hours' notice each time. Neither happens without preparation: I run about eight self-tape auditions most months and keep a submission log organized enough that my agent can pull tape same-day when a role opens fast.
I'm SAFD-certified in stage combat and SAG-AFTRA eligible, and I work in three dialects across film, stage and voiceover, including two animated-short voice roles. Two years of Meisner and stage combat training before I ever took a company role still shapes how I prep: cold reads, physical work and dialect switches on short notice are the job, not the exception.
I'd welcome an audition or callback whenever [Theater company name] is casting next, in [City, State] or on tape. Thank you for considering an actor who treats booking numbers and reliability as seriously as the work itself.
Sincerely,
Cameron Wilson
