How to cancel your ResumeNerd subscription (2026)

Canceling ResumeNerd stops future renewals. It does not automatically refund past charges or move your resume. ResumeNerd’s “How to cancel” page lists three ways to cancel: online in your account, by phone, or by email. Save a usable copy of your resume before you change billing. Then, if you want a one-time download instead of another renewing plan, import that text into Guul.

Save your files first

Before you touch billing, preserve what you already wrote. Moving a draft does not cancel the old subscription.

  1. Download or copy your resume while you still have paid access. ResumeNerd’s How to cancel page says that after you cancel you can view your documents but not edit, print, or share them unless you reactivate.
  2. Screenshot the layout you care about. Formatting rarely survives a move.
  3. Keep the receipt: the email, the charge date, and how the charge appears. ResumeNerd’s Contact page says orders appear as ResumeNerd, ResumeNerd.com, or CDT*ResumeNerd.
  4. Deleting the account is not the same as canceling billing. Save your files and the confirmation first.

How to cancel a ResumeNerd subscription

These steps come from ResumeNerd’s own pages. Guul cannot cancel for you.

  1. 1

    Sign in to ResumeNerd

Sign in at resumenerd.com with the account that was charged.

    https://www.resumenerd.com
  2. 2

    Open Manage Account

ResumeNerd’s How to cancel page says to click the user icon at the top right, next to the notification bell, then choose “Manage Account.”

  3. 3

    Click Cancel Subscription and confirm

Click “Cancel Subscription,” then confirm with “Yes, cancel my account.” Those are the labels on ResumeNerd’s How to cancel page. If your account shows different words, go by what it shows.

  4. 4

    Save the confirmation

ResumeNerd says it emails a confirmation with a cancellation number. Save that email. If you can’t find it, check your spam or junk folder, as ResumeNerd suggests.

  5. 5

Cancel by phone or email instead

ResumeNerd’s How to cancel page lists 844-363-0076 for the United States and 1-844-284-4174 for Canada (9 AM to 8 PM EST, Monday to Friday), and help@resumenerd.com. Ask to cancel in writing and give a reason, as that page describes.

Refunds

ResumeNerd’s How to cancel page says you owe fees for as long as the subscription stays active, that refunds are not guaranteed, and that any refund it approves goes back to the card you paid with. Canceling does not reverse an earlier charge. Guul does not process ResumeNerd refunds.

Importing a draft into Guul does not cancel ResumeNerd. ResumeNerd says stored documents stay viewable after you cancel, but editing, printing and sharing need a subscription. Save copies on your own device first.

Already have the draft? Import free

Importing into Guul does not cancel ResumeNerd. Keep vendor confirmation separately.

  1. Open Guul Resume Rescue. Paste your resume text, or upload a PDF or Word file you are allowed to keep.
  2. Check names, employers, dates, and bullets. The layout may change after import.
  3. When you need a PDF or Word file, buy One Resume ($4.99 USD, one time). It gives unlimited PDF and Word downloads of that one resume for 30 days from purchase, with no renewal. Files are never watermarked.
