Cancel button missing or broken: email, phone, and ticket numbers

If the in-app Cancel control fails, escalate with written proof — Guul cannot cancel the other brand for you.

Published by Guul

Job seekers often report that Subscription or Cancel buttons spin, hide behind paywalls, or never appear on mobile. This guide is the escalation playbook: save your files, try the official Contact email/phone/chat, insist on a cancellation number or ticket ID, and only then import a draft into Guul if you still need a one-time PDF. It adds to Guul’s step-by-step cancel guides and the checklist for charges after you cancel. It does not replace them, and Guul does not handle bank disputes.

Start here

  • Save exports before you fight the UI.
  • Use the vendor’s published Contact email/phone/chat — not random social DMs.
  • Ask for a cancellation number, ticket ID, or confirmation email.
  • App Store / Google Play billing cancels in the store, not always in the website UI.
  • Guul cannot cancel or refund other brands; import is optional after you stop renewals.

First: save the resume text

Before closing tabs in frustration, copy bullets to a local file, download any TXT/PDF the free tier still allows, and screenshot the layout. Guul’s TXT-only and Rescue guides cover keeping a draft without another trial.

You need the document even if billing support takes days.

Try the official in-product path once

Open Guul’s cancel guide for your builder if there is one. Guides cover Zety, Resume.io, Enhancv, LiveCareer, Teal+, Kickresume and others, and each shows the date we checked it. Follow the company’s Help labels exactly. If the button is missing, note your device and browser, and whether you subscribed on the web or through an app store.

Escalate: email, phone, chat — demand a ticket

Use only contacts published on the vendor’s Contact or Help page (examples from Guul’s cancel guides: customerservice@livecareer.com / 800-652-8430; help@enhancv.com; membersupport@tealhq.com; brand Contact forms for Zety / Resume.io / MyPerfectResume).

Send: account email, approximate charge date, the last four digits of the card, and a clear request to turn off auto-renew. Ask them to reply with a cancellation number, ticket ID, or confirmation email. LiveCareer’s Terms describe a cancellation-number email pattern — other brands may use ticket IDs instead.

Keep spam/junk copies. Guul’s still-charging guide covers what to do if a charge arrives after you believe you canceled.

Store-billed subscriptions

If you paid through Apple or Google Play, cancel inside that store’s subscription settings. Website Cancel often cannot stop store billing. Screenshot the store confirmation.

After renewals are stopped

Import the saved draft on Guul Rescue if you still need a clean PDF. When you are ready, buy One Resume. It gives unlimited PDF and Word downloads of that one resume for 30 days from purchase, and it does not renew. Guul does not file chargebacks or refund other companies.

Frequently asked questions

The Cancel button spins forever — what now?

Screenshot the error, try another browser or desktop, then email/chat the vendor’s published Contact path and ask for a ticket or cancellation number. Do not rely on Guul to cancel them.

Is deleting my account enough?

Often no. Cancel billing first. Guul’s cancel checklist explains why cancelling is not the same as deleting your account.

Can Guul call the builder for me?

No. Guul cannot cancel, refund, or dispute another company’s charge.

Where are brand-specific steps?

Resume Rescue has step-by-step cancel guides for specific builders, plus guides for charges you do not recognise and charges that continue after you cancel. This page covers what to do when the cancel button itself fails.
