Changing builders should give you a useful document without losing work you already own. This guide covers moving content from FlowCV into another editing workflow, including Guul. It does not cancel an account, bypass a paid export or promise to reproduce the original design exactly.
Start here
- Check which resume remains free and what happens to extra versions on downgrade. Back up important variants before changing access.
- Keep the original and review the new file before replacing your submission copy.
Preserve your work first
Download and keep your free PDF and a text copy. If changing tools, import your own content into Guul and compare the resulting layout. Additional versions stored in one service may not remain editable after changing plans.
Check whether the free first resume already meets the need
FlowCV publishes a free first resume with unlimited PDF downloads and no watermark. If that is all you need, you may not benefit from paying for another builder. Compare the actual editing and output requirements before moving.
If you are downgrading or have several variants, read the current rules for additional resumes. Download the important versions and keep a plain-text copy before changing access. A free first document is not necessarily the same entitlement as unlimited editable variants.
Move for a specific workflow benefit
If you need a different structure or a supported Word export, try the new editor using your own text or PDF. Check whether names, dates and role boundaries remain correct. Choose a new layout only after the content is stable.
Do not assume that a paid Guul export is better simply because it costs money. Open the resulting document and decide whether it solves the problem that motivated the move. Keep the original FlowCV PDF and an editable source wherever available.
Review the purchase separately from the document
Guul’s One Resume is paid. Consider it for the editing workflow or Word export if you need those features, not because FlowCV’s first PDF is supposedly locked.
Check which resume remains free and what happens to extra versions on downgrade. Back up important variants before changing access.
Decide whether a second tool solves a real problem
FlowCV publishes a free first-resume option with unlimited PDF downloads and no watermark. If that document already meets the employer’s requirements, keeping it can be the simplest decision. Identify a concrete reason to switch, such as a different editing workflow, before spending time rebuilding a working resume.
If you do compare Guul, use the same truthful content in both previews and inspect the result at normal reading size. Check crowded lines, section spacing and page breaks. A template change is useful only if it improves the document for your application. Guul importing and editing are free, but its PDF, Word and plain-text downloads require payment.
