Start with what you already have access to
Resumod advertises import, resume and job scoring, PDF/Word/link output and expert help. It also markets to universities. If your institution already offers a resume service, ask what your access includes before paying separately. An institutional arrangement should not be assumed to match a personal plan.
Guul can be evaluated independently with your own draft. Its India prices appear above. Compare your actual access and needs rather than assuming that every visitor sees the same offer at either product.
Test imports with education and employment together
Bring an existing resume containing a qualification, internship or role, and a project. After import, compare the structured entries with your original file. Check that the qualification remains with the correct institution, dates do not migrate between entries, and responsibilities stay under the right employer.
If your source came from a document editor, keep that original. Import convenience should save retyping, but you still need to review the result. A missing line should be restored from your own document, not replaced with plausible wording supplied by an AI.
Choose the output before choosing the design
Write down whether you need a PDF, an editable Word document or a public link. These are different deliverables. A link can be convenient for sharing, but it does not replace an uploaded file when the application demands one. A Word document must remain useful for the edits you expect to make.
Inspect how the exact output handles headings, long entries and page endings. Guul’s Word guide explains its export choices. We have not downloaded and compared matching files from Resumod and Guul, so we do not declare an output-quality winner.
Understand the kind of help you want
Some applicants want suggestions they can apply themselves; others need a person to help identify relevant experience. Before purchasing assistance, ask who does the work, how you provide corrections, how many revisions are included and which files you receive.
A score and a writing consultation are not interchangeable. If you use automated feedback, separate problems with the document from gaps in experience. Do not add a skill merely because a tool lists it as missing for a job.
Make a choice you can maintain
Choose a workflow you can return to when a vacancy changes. Keep an untailored factual draft, name application versions clearly and retain final exports. This reduces the risk of submitting a version written for the wrong role.
Resumod may be worth exploring when its advertised assistance or an existing university arrangement suits you. Guul may fit when you want to control the document and inspect its feedback yourself.
