Changing builders should give you a useful document without losing work you already own. This guide covers moving content from MyPerfectResume into another editing workflow, including Guul. It does not cancel an account, bypass a paid export or promise to reproduce the original design exactly.
Start here
- Check the currency, trial end date, export formats and cancellation confirmation in the original account. Account deletion and stopping recurring billing may be separate actions.
- Keep the original and review the new file before replacing your submission copy.
Preserve your work first
Keep any document export you already have and a plain-text copy of your sections. Bring your own text or PDF into Guul, then check the reconstructed work history and contact details. You do not need to give Guul access to your MyPerfectResume account.
Separate the local offer from the migration task
The MyPerfectResume pricing page reviewed in this research displayed Canadian dollars. Treat that as a local offer, not a US-dollar quote or a universal price. Your migration decision should begin with the files and text already available in your account.
Save a copy before cancelling or deleting anything. If you have several resumes, preserve the relevant versions individually. A single export does not back up all editing history or the settings of the original account.
Reconstruct custom sections and inspect the output
Compare custom sections as well as standard work and education fields. A parser can place certifications, projects or skills under an unexpected heading. Fix the structure before changing the layout or asking for new wording.
Check that contact links, dates and bullet lists survived, then export the rebuilt document and open it separately. Keep a reduced-detail copy for any support request. A privacy or billing concern with the original service should be addressed through its own controls, independently of moving the resume.
Review the purchase separately from the document
Compare currency and billing period together. Converting a Canadian quote into a US claim would be misleading. Guul quotes its USD base price here; checkout determines the applicable local offer.
Check the currency, trial end date, export formats and cancellation confirmation in the original account. Account deletion and stopping recurring billing may be separate actions.
Keep a record of the market and plan you used
Save the purchase confirmation alongside your document backup. The price and billing period shown in your own account matter more than a comparison page describing another country. If you contact support, use that receipt to identify the subscription instead of assuming that every MyPerfectResume offer is identical.
For the resume itself, check accented names, date formats and location text after import. Correct a formatting change without changing the underlying facts. Review the Guul checkout in the same way if you decide to pay for its PDF or Word download. The previous purchase is handled separately with the original service.
