Considering CVMaker? Compare Guul Before You Choose
If you need a native Word file, the documented lack of Word export is a concrete reason to compare another workflow. If the main concern is renewal, compare CVMaker’s monthly access with Guul’s One Resume. A monthly term is not the same as the four-week terms offered by some other vendors.
Overview
The right resume builder depends on the document you need, the tools you use and the commitment you want to make. This comparison is published by Guul. It separates published policy from product preference and links the sources so you can check the offer before spending time or money.
What CVMaker offers
CVMaker’s official support page lists USD 1.95 for seven days, then USD 24.95 each month until cancellation. It describes continuous resume editing and downloads during premium access. The same page says Word downloads are not supported; documents remain editable in the CVMaker account.
What Guul offers
Import and edit free. PDF, Word and plain-text downloads require One Resume or a qualifying plan. One Resume costs $4.99 USD one time and gives unlimited PDF, Word and plain-text downloads of that one resume for 30 days from purchase. It does not renew. Guul also offers recurring plans. Check the local price and scope before purchasing.
When CVMaker may fit better
CVMaker may fit someone who likes its templates, wants matching cover letters and expects to keep editing in its account. Its support page describes hiding components, sorting entries and controlling PDF page placement. If those controls solve your problem, compare their value before moving.
How to keep and move your draft
Save an available PDF and a copy of your own text before cancelling. The support page does not offer a Word export, so do not assume a PDF conversion will preserve an editable layout. Import the PDF or paste corrected text into Guul, then check every field and rebuild page breaks as needed.
Paste your own resume text into Guul. Review the imported document before buying downloads.
Before you buy or cancel
Use the official account controls, cancellation page or helpdesk described by CVMaker. Keep the cancellation email. Check the current local checkout amount and whether the file formats match your needs; a website account cancellation is not performed by moving a file to Guul.

Need to cancel CVMaker first?
Official cancel steps with dated sources. Importing into Guul does not stop the old subscription.
Cancel control missing? Email / phone / ticket playbook. Charged after you canceled? Still-charging checklist.
Already started drafting in CVMaker?
Bring your own text into Guul and review the result. Importing is free; PDF, Word and plain-text downloads require a one-time purchase or a Pro plan.
Before you decide
- Use the official account controls, cancellation page or helpdesk described by CVMaker. Keep the cancellation email. Check the current local checkout amount and whether the file formats match your needs; a website account cancellation is not performed by moving a file to Guul.
- List the document formats you need before comparing plans. An editable Word file, a finished PDF and a builder’s internal project data are different outputs.
- Save the exact resume you submit and the job description it targets. Keep a separate editable copy so your next application does not depend on continued access to one account.
- Try the editing controls with your own material, inspect a permitted export and check the full checkout commitment. Do not buy a second product just to resolve a billing question with the first.
