Guul vs Resume.io: four-week trial renewals or a one-time resume pass?
Resume.io’s US pricing page lists a $2.95 seven-day trial that renews at $29.95 every four weeks, alongside free TXT and its Vancouver free PDF template. Guul offers explainable ATS simulations and One Resume ($4.99 USD one time for 30 days) with no auto-renewal.
Overview
At our October 2, 2026 review, Resume.io listed a USD 2.95 seven-day trial renewing at USD 29.95 every four weeks and a USD 49.95 three-month plan, while its help center documented free TXT export and the free Vancouver PDF template. Check whether those free options meet your needs first. If you want full template access, both PDF and Word downloads, and explainable Workday, Greenhouse and Lever parsing previews without a renewing subscription, Guul sells One Resume for $4.99 USD one time.
What Resume.io offers
The US pricing page lists a USD 2.95 seven-day trial that renews at USD 29.95 every four weeks unless cancelled. A USD 49.95 plan billed every three months is also listed, and it also renews. Free TXT export is available; its help center describes the Vancouver free PDF template option (instructions reviewed October 2, 2026). Check the export options in your account before paying for a different service.
What Guul offers

Four-week billing cycles versus a one-time resume purchase
At our October 2, 2026 review, Resume.io’s US pricing page offered a USD 2.95 seven-day trial that renewed at USD 29.95 every four weeks unless cancelled. Because a four-week cycle is 28 days, an active plan bills 13 times over 365 days. If you only need to finish and export one resume for a current job search, Guul’s One Resume costs $4.99 USD one time, gives unlimited PDF, Word and plain-text downloads of that one resume for 30 days from purchase, and never auto-renews.
Free Vancouver PDF and TXT exports versus full template access
Resume.io’s free TXT export or free Vancouver PDF layout may already give you the file you want. When you need PDF, Word and plain-text files, remember that Word preserves a selected design only for certified templates and otherwise uses a simpler single-column layout. You can test your draft in Guul’s editor and basic Workday field preview for free before buying One Resume. Greenhouse and Lever simulations require paid access.
Next steps: try the free ATS checker, import a draft you started elsewhere, or see prices, including One Resume.
When Resume.io may fit better
Consider Resume.io if you prefer its guided editor, its templates or a plan for repeated resume work. If you only need plain text or the available free PDF layout, you may not need a paid alternative.
How to keep and move your draft
Use an export already available in your account, or copy your own text. The Resume.io help center describes TXT export and the Vancouver free PDF option. Preserve a copy before changing any subscription. Import your text or PDF into Guul and compare names, dates and section order with the original.
Paste your own resume text into Guul. Review the imported document before buying downloads.
Before you buy or cancel
Check whether the template you want has a free export, which plan checkout selects, and the next renewal date. Moving a document does not cancel a Resume.io subscription.

Need to cancel Resume.io first?
Official cancel steps with dated sources. Importing into Guul does not stop the old subscription.
Cancel control missing? Email / phone / ticket playbook. Charged after you canceled? Still-charging checklist.
Already started drafting in Resume.io?
Bring your own text into Guul and review the result. Importing is free; PDF, Word and plain-text downloads require a one-time purchase or a Pro plan.
Before you decide
- Check whether the template you want has a free export, which plan checkout selects, and the next renewal date. Moving a document does not cancel a Resume.io subscription.
- List the document formats you need before comparing plans. An editable Word file, a finished PDF and a builder’s internal project data are different outputs.
- Save the exact resume you submit and the job description it targets. Keep a separate editable copy so your next application does not depend on continued access to one account.
- Try the editing controls with your own material, inspect a permitted export and check the full checkout commitment. Do not buy a second product just to resolve a billing question with the first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I download from Resume.io for free before switching?
Yes. Resume.io’s help center (reviewed October 2, 2026) explains how to export a free TXT file or download a free PDF using the Vancouver template. Check whether either option solves your immediate need before paying for another builder.
Why does Resume.io charge every four weeks instead of monthly?
Resume.io’s standard trial renewal is billed every four weeks (28 days), which equals 13 billing periods per year rather than 12 calendar months. If you want to avoid recurring billing altogether, Guul’s One Resume costs $4.99 USD once and does not renew.

Download your free TXT copy or Vancouver PDF from Resume.io. Guul lets you import that file for free and verify your dates, employers and section order before you purchase downloads.
Does importing my resume into Guul cancel my Resume.io trial?
No. Guul has no access to your Resume.io billing account. Cancel your trial or subscription directly through Resume.io’s account settings or support page and save the confirmation email.
