Parent or shared card charged for a resume builder
Resume trials often run on a parent’s or roommate’s card. Enhancv’s Help Center even notes that many users share one account with family or friends, so the cardholder may not recognize the name on the statement. This guide separates what the cardholder can do from what the account holder can do, points to the official cancel steps, and helps the job seeker keep their draft without another renewing plan.
For the cardholder
- Calmly ask the people in your household whether anyone started a resume trial on this card.
- Note the name on the statement, the amount, and the date. Then search email for receipts, including the student’s inbox if they agree.
- Do not share banking passwords with “refund helpers” you find in search results.
- Cancel and ask for refunds through the builder or its payment company, and get written confirmation.

Identify the product, not only the payment company
The statement may show Paddle, Auxiliant, or a short code instead of the builder’s name. Use our guide to unknown charges and the payment company’s own lookup page. Then match the receipt email to Zety, Resume.io, Enhancv, MyPerfectResume, or a similar builder.

Have the account holder cancel in the account if possible
The person who created the login can usually see Billing, My Plan, or My Subscription. Enhancv documents Cancel Subscription on its Billing page. Resume Genius documents My Account, then My Subscription, then Cancel Subscription.

If the cardholder doesn’t know the login
Use the support email or phone number on the builder’s Contact page. For products billed through Paddle, use Paddle’s paddle.net assistant. Give the charge date and the last four digits of the card, and never post the full card number publicly.

Save the confirmation; ask about refunds separately
Ask for written confirmation that auto-renewal is off. Whether you get a refund depends on the policy of that builder or its payment company. Guul cannot refund them.

Why doesn’t the statement show the resume builder’s name?
Many builders take payment through a separate payment company (the merchant of record, for example Paddle) or show a short code. Enhancv explains PADDLE.NET* ENHANCV; other builders may show Auxiliant or BLD*-style codes. Match the receipt email.
Can the parent cancel without the student’s password?
Sometimes, through the payment company’s portal or by contacting support with proof of purchase. Often the account holder has to cancel in the app. Ask the account holder to cancel and forward you the confirmation.
